Hey, I've been using WMV for a while now, and though I'm using the newest version and it worked fine a few days ago, now all models' eyes are closed.

I tried this workaround: http://wowmodelviewe...-on-animations/ where you uncheck a geoset in the model control, but it's not helpful for me because it destroys the models for the clothes (AKA A dress turns into skintight pants with the same texture applied). Currently the only way I could make this work is by saving two models and merging the correct head with the correct body.

Any idea what the problem is?

The eyes thing IS a geoset issue, but the rest is an older issue that's yet to be resolved... Sometimes, changing a geoset will "reset" the model's geosets in a random way. Fortunately, this only happens once, so you can re-set all the proper geosets and have it work.

Wait, so you're exporting 2 different models? If you're going to ANY 3D software, you can just export once (using the proper model with the eye issue) then fix the eyes in your 3D software.

Thanks for the response, but I actually am using the models for 2d art, not machinima ~ am I understanding you correctly that there's just no way to fix it other than random dumb luck from toggling on and off different geosets? Sorry I dont know anything about this >_>

Ah. Okay.

As for the Geosets, a little bit. Each Geoset corresponds to a form in the model. When clicking the first one, there's a chance it will randomly change. But afterwards, you can go through the list, turning off the ones you don't need, and trying the others, to get the look you want. There IS a logic to it, but it takes a bit to understand, and the best way to understand it is to simply try it.

The names on the sides give you a rough idea of what they are. You can use these to navigate your way through, but if you get lost, the geoset numbers will never lie.

Is it possible to explain a little of the logic to the geosets with relation to the eyes?

I've got characters that no matter what geosets I turn on/off never have their eyes open. Even if I load direct from the Armory, or open old ones I saved locally... the eyes are always closed.

Yeah.. It is an issue indeed, though if you use it for 2D things, why not draw own eyes (like I do)? Most of the times, custom eyes look even better.

This is a little late of a response, and I'm not sure if you have solved the problem.. But, there is a way to fix this. Typically I encounter this problem while trying to load a Blood Elf female. If you want to fix this, follow these steps:

Load your .chr file into your WMV.

At the top, you will notice that there's different options to click.

Select View > Model Control. Before doing this, if this is a saved .chr file, you will not be able to do this. Changing something simple like the shoulders or any other gear will help. You will then be able to play around with model control.

When you have the model control screen up, you're going to deselect option 0. This should be hairstyle 0. When doing this, your model will open his/her eyes.

Now, there is some issues about the gear changing, or the hair changing. What you want to do, is simply go back to your model options to the right. Click his/her hair once. So, you would be changing the hairstyle. This will take your models hair back to it's original state, including the gear.

Again, Select View > Model Control > Deselect Hairstyle 0 > Change Hairstyle once.. And then bam.. You're done.

Hope this helped.
