THIS IS NOT AN EXPORTER SUPPORT TOPIC! The ONLY posts that should go here are ones pertaining to plans for adding future exporters, and expanding the capabilities of the current ones!
--------------------------------------------------------
I thought I should put a poll into the field about the Exporters. I think it'd be good to get an idea of how & what everyone's using, so we can better adjust our vision of the future in regards to the Exporters.
If there's a exporter you want to see that's not on the third question, write it here!
NOTE: I'm gauging people's opinions, not making suggestions. Question 3 is NOT a list of exporters I'm planning to install, I just want to see what other people want. And even if everyone asks for a ZBrush Exporter, that doesn't mean it'll be made.

Love the idea of making exporters into plugins such as Blender did it.
That way if people want to export out parts of these models, that you could have a sub-community of developers who can do their small piece for the larger community.
The wow models are extremely cool - not just to look at, but to learn from. Inside there are the things you would expect of a model: vertices, mesh, bones, joints, etc, but also things you might not expect like particle emitters, ribbon emitters, and so on (don't quote me, but I think that even what *sounds* to play are connected to models - such as when someone gets hit).
Any of these model formats don't support ribbon emitters, so if you had your own export format as a plugin, maybe a person could export a fragment of that information as plain ASCII, not even to be able to import it into anything, and think about how to animate it, or what you could learn from it.

I'm actually working on such a system for the v0.8.0.0 release of WMV, and I'm hoping to do the rendering the same way. That way, someone would be able to build a DirectX plugin for displaying the models. An OpenGL plugin will be default though.Love the idea of making exporters into plugins such as Blender did it.

REALITY.SYS corrupted.
